The body had actually been taken by the Eradicator who was using it to convert solar radiation to energy which he could absorb.
Shortly afterwards four pretenders appeared in Metropolis claiming each of them was Superman. There was stories of him rising from the dead or of Cadmus stealing the body. No sooner was he laid to rest that Superman's body disappeared from the tomb. With a world wide audience Superman was laid to rest in Centennial Park. Paul Westfield of the Cadmus Project stole Superman's body under an executive order that allowed him to collect the bodies of any dead aliens for study, but when he was exposed by reporters the President rescinded the order in Superman's case. Lex Luthor (back in a younger cloned body and posing as his own son) used the situation to prove his "civic minded pride" by organising much of the funeral and remembrance proceedings. While Lois Lane and the planet were shocked by Superman's death it did not take his old enemies long to make gain from the situation. Neither combatant would give in and in an inevitable conclusion Superman gave his life to seemingly stop Doomsday. Superman confronted the monster in an all out brawl that raised buildings and shook the foundations of the city. Reawakened by the presence of Superman (who Doomsday sensed was Kryptonian - one of his old tormentors), he went on the rampage killing hundreds and scattering the JLA as he made a straight line for Metropolis. That "tomb" made planet fall on Earth and was embedded deep in the planet for hundreds of years. He was eventually "killed" by Radiant of Calaton and was buried at space bound in a metal cage so his spirit could not escape (as was their tradition). Over hundreds of thousands of years he had bounced from planet to planet fighting Khunds, the Green Lantern Corps and even killing one of the Guardians of the Universe. Their firmware is keyed to a specific oem firmware version. The creature know as Doomsday was a by product of the research that would eventually lead to the Kryptonians mastery of genetic engineering and clone technology. I don't know what that might involve with ML.
#Tragic lantern t3i upgrade#
it appears there may be a firmware upgrade coming up to 1.1.4. I'd hope not, but that may be wishful thinking.Īnd an issue. I don't know if the initial installation of the "unforked 6d nightly build" requires downgrade to firmware 1.1.2 like the "Tragic Lantern fork" . I'd recommend proceeding to get ML installed on your 6d. I had been using ML on my 5d2 and T3i/600d for a year or so, and really missed having it on my 6d. I'm not thrilled with that, but they have been accomplishing amazing progress, so it seems to be working. The ML team has gotten aware from a "static / safe / final build like ver 2.3, and gone to a "rolling release" that is constantly bleeding edge. There were some glitches with EosCard, but it eventually worked fine.
#Tragic lantern t3i install#
I did install the "Tragic Lantern fork" with the convoluted downgrade to firmware 1.1.2, install firmware, and re-upgrade to firmware 1.1.3. My impression is that the safety issue is much better now. However, within the past several weeks, it appears that the "Tragic Lantern fork" has been integrated back into the "main development", and there has been a nightly build for it. I had a similar concern, and took my time installing the "Tragic Lantern fork". There doesn't seem to be a final build yet for the 6D. I love ML on the 60D but I decided not to try it on the 6D for safety concerns.
